Fernlea House Inc. is an independent, community–based organisation

We provide Day Respite for people with life limiting illnesses, chronic conditions and/or dementia, who need special support for themselves and their families.
We operate 5 sessions per week in two locations - Emerald and Berwick, to cover the South Eastern parts of Melbourne.

Staff and trained volunteers support the delivery of our program as well as providing transport, complimentary therapies, memoir writing and in home supports.

Fernlea Life Care understands how important it is for you to be able to care for your loved ones at home.

If they have a Life Limiting Illness, chronic condition or Dementia, our qualified caring staff will ensure their comfort and dignity whilst providing an extensive range of home support, respite and personal care services in your own home. You can decide exactly what you would like and how much, we are there to make it work for you.

Services are available in Southern and Eastern suburbs. Very reasonable fees apply for services.

The Fernlea Op Shop is supporting Fernlea House Respite Services to maintain its programs and keep fees down.

Volunteers spend a few hours a week having a great time working in the shop, sorting, cleaning, organising stock and displays and in ‘behind the scenes’ roles.

Volunteering is like food for the soul so come and get some at the Fernlea Shop.
