The day care unit aims to provide you with the opportunity for enjoyment, a break from routine, advice if needed and support in a warm, caring, relaxed home like environment.

It is a day to have some fun, participate in activities, be creative or just rest and relax in comfort, with other people in similar situations.

The day care unit also offers carers an opportunity for some "time out" from the role of caring. Trained palliative care nurses and volunteers staff the day care unit and welcome a maximum of six guests per day. The program is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aging.
